Jericho Mountain Master Development Plan Released April 2007

The Department of Resources and Economic Development, Division of Parks and Recreation, Bureau of Trails announces the release of the Jericho Mountain State Park Riding Area Master Development Plan. The plan was presented to the Berlin-Area State Park Advisory Committee on April 12 at their meeting. The plan has officially been released to the public and is on the Bureau of Trails website, under ATVs.

The state acquired the 7,200 acre park back in February 2006. Horizon Engineering was hired to create a Master Development Plan for this property. Comment was taken on a draft release earlier this winter and the final was just released.
The Bureau plans to start implementation of Phase 1, additional trail development, in May. Bureau staff and volunteers will be on the ground laying out potential trail locations starting in May, with construction activities planned to begin in June or July.
The Bureau of Trails is part of the New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation. The Division manages over 72 state parks, campgrounds, trails, historic sites, and natural waysides and is part of the Department of Resources and Economic Development. To view the plan or for more trail information, please call 603/271-3254 or visit our website at www.nhtrails.org.
