Berlin Recreaction Center Programs

Little Tykes Playground: Time to gear up for the autumn activities. The Berlin Recreation and Parks offers a great starter program for the child age three to five. Crafts, play, snack and story time, and basic introduction to letters, numbers and much more all under the direction of Sylvia Ramsey. Starts the week of September 15. Choose either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays with the option to add Fridays to either session, 9-11 a.m. for seven weeks. Limited to 12 children per session, $42 total cost for 2-day session, $63 total cost for the 3-day session.
Kindergarten and 1st grade soccer: Instructional program introducing the game of soccer to the young boy or girl. Begins the week of September 15 at the Green Street Field. Six week program, Monday, 3-4 p.m. $30 per person. Instructor is Laura Ouellette.
2nd. and 3rd. grade soccer: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon games beginning in late September. Low key games, everyone plays, no cuts. Registration deadline is September 12. Register at the Berlin Recreation Center, $30 per person. Games played at the Green Street Field. Volunteer coaches needed in order to have program this fall. If interested, call 752-2010.
Fall giant indoor yard sale: Saturday, October 25 from 9 to 1 p.m. $10 for 10'X15' space. Limited space available. Must bring your own tables. Time to clean your closets.
Gus Rooney volunteer of year award: Nominations being sought of the annual Gus Rooney Award. Help us recognize a deserving Berlin resident or group. Deadline to nominate a person or a whole organization is October 17. Nominations forms can be picked up at Berlin Recreation and Parks Department. Call 752-2010 if you have any questions. Girls Recreational hockey: Registration now going on at Berlin Recreation Center. $500 for the 18-20 game season. Open to girls in grades 1-8. In town and out-of-town games. Register during the months of September and October.
